General Information - Summer Soccer 2008
Who?
The AYSO Summer Soccer Season is open to all
children who are between the ages of 4 and 15 years old on
February 1, 2008.
There are no
tryouts - All children will play at least half of each game. Parents are encouraged to
volunteer and assist at all levels from team snack to coach or referee.
Where and When?
The AYSO Summer Soccer Season
runs from June 7
through August 2. There will be no
games over the July 4th weekend. 8 weeks of soccer! Games are played Saturday mornings between 8am
and noon at the MRC fields (off 599). The games are scheduled and last about one hour.
Teams typically practice once a week at a park specified by the coach. Practice lasts
about 1-2 hours.
One week Soccer Camp will also be available (extra cost)! - Details at
registration.
Registration Dates & Times & Place:
Open Registration will be
held March 24 & 25, at Gonzales Elementary School, 851
W. Alameda (just west of St. Francis). Registration will run from 10 am 2 pm
each day. If your child did not play last
year, please bring proof of age.
How Much?
AYSO Summer soccer cost $55 per player. This includes a
team uniform: Jersey, Shorts and Socks. It is our goal that all children play -
some scholarships are available, just ask at registration.
Since we are a completely volunteer group, the number of teams will be limited by
the number of volunteer coaches.
